 What do you do with a ZIP file?

Q: What is the proper software program to use to open up a ZIP file?  Every time I attempt to double click or open a ZIP file I keep getting this prompt about choosing a program to open a zip file with.

A: If the "Open With..." window pops up whenever you attempt to open a ZIP file, it means that you do not have the necessary software installed on your PC required to open ZIP files.  Microsoft has never included an unzip utility with any of their versions of Windows, therefore Windows does not know what to do with a ZIP file if you attempt to open one.  Since Microsoft does not give you the necessary software to open ZIP files, you will need to obtain an unzip utility from a third party before you can open ZIP files.
