How Do I
Download The Unzip Wizard to My PC? Q: I've heard good things about your Unzip Wizard software. How can I obtain a copy? A: You can download a copy of our Unzip Wizard software by clicking on the animated red diskette below (see left column).Q: I don't know how to download software. Can you provide me with any tips on downloading? A: Sure. Here's a good site that provides a downloading primer with screen snapshots. Q: When I attempted to download The Unzip Wizard, my browser asked me whether I want to open the file, or to save it. Help! Which do I choose? A: When you get a window that looks like this (below), we recommend that you choose "Save it to disk". However, please be aware that if you save the download to disk (your hard drive C), you must (listen carefully...) you must REMEMBER WHERE YOU SAVE THE DOWNLOAD, so that you can find it later on. Specifcally you must remember to what FOLDER where you save the download to.
Q: Whoops! I didn't choose "Save it to disk". Instead, I choose "Open it", and then my computer said something about "Authenticode signature not found". A: If you receive a message such as the one below, simply answer "Yes". What this window message is trying to tell you is that your security settings are set to MAXIMUM, and that your computer is simply paranoid about opening any new software.
Microsoft wants our company (and thousands of other companies) to pay them big $$$ so that Microsoft can remove these paranoid warning messages. Very few software companies play Microsoft's game, therefore these messages will appear frequently when you download software, not only from our web site, but from other sites also. As long as you are downloading software from a reputable source (and hey, you can't get more reputable than our company!) then there is nothing to worry about. Click 'Yes' and get on with your life. Our software will then install itself to your PC. |
